i've just installed the ecommerce via hot start procedure, i currently have a bug in the virtuemart component: the "store information" admin page do not update any config file or table...( after saving the fulfilled admin page, the recall of the page shows it blank again ) it's not a permission issue, i've changed permissions off virtuemart.cfg.php to 755 etc... the table xxx_vm_vendor is empty

thanks, but the server is L.A.M.P based, my problem is a bug in the virtuemart administration where "store information" data page do not update the database and stay blank. it's possible to for me to update manually files, but it's not a sustainable approach.

The "store information" information are not updating probably because of wrong paths in your VM installation. Please send me Joomla access I will check this.

I have the same issue and figure that I have a config file looking at the wrong directory. I am unable to save any store information. (trying to get the prices to show $#,###.##)

What config files should I look? I could grant you access but would need your IP address. Thanks!

Found the issue. There is a virtuemart table called vm_vendor. It should always have a record in it for the default store data. There were no records in vm_vendor. I had to manually create a record via phpmyadmin. Once the record exists, the save function works ok. Not sure why the default record disappeared but it seems to be working now.
