In the Sparky Framework, you can use all CSS units that’s used in the modern web design practices. Each option in the Sparky’s template options page which is dimension type, allow you to select an appropriate unit. Default unit for all dimension type parameters is pixel (px). Feel free to use the units you are comfortable with and these you understand well.

If you have no clue what’s HTML or have zero experience with CSS, you will not be able to use the Sparky Framework with 100% efficiency! The same is true for all other frameworks, site builders and similar tools. No matter what they say! But, you if you know how to work with Joomla, you still can try the Sparky Framework. Of course, with Sparky it’s not necessary to write code manually. But it will be your advantage if you understand the core technologies of the web, regardless of the framework you are using.

The Sparky Framework includes one Joomla template and several Joomla plugins. They all are packed into a single Joomla package installalable file. To uninstall the Sparky Framework completely, you should uninstall the package. This is how to do it:

The file for the installation of the Sparky Framework in Joomla is in a form of Joomla package. When you install the package, the initial Sparky Framework template and all required plugins will be installed at once.

Menus

It looks very simple but many options are hidden inside this tab. You will notice that all menus you created in Joomla Menu Manager are listed here. Click on the menu name will open a pane with a drop-down selector. By default, the None option is selected. It means that Sparky doesn’t have any influence to this menu (until you change it).

When you open the drop-down selector, you will see various menu types listed above the horizontal line. Each of these options is one menu type supported by the Sparky Framework. Below the horizontal line, there is one or more “Copy from…” options. You can use this if you need to copy all the parameters from Menu A to the Menu B. This will save you from additional work on setting up both Menu A and B separately.

If you select any of the menu types, in example “Classic Menu”, a bunch of new parameters will be available instantly. All these parameters are specific for this menu type only and there’s default value assigned to each of the parameters.

Please read more about each of the available menu types in the separate chapters of this section.
