User registration

VirtueMart user registration requires much more information (such as address and phone) than those collected by Joomla mod_login (which is used by Free Registration). Once user enters the data, admin still needs to go to VM user manager to enter those required fields. The permission needs to be manually set before the VM user account is valid. Is there a user interface in hot_ecommerce to do front end VM user registration? Thanks.

You can change this in configuration of VirtueMart component. For detailed info about using VirtueMart please check www.virtuemart.net

Thanks for the reply, Milos. I am able to enter it from backend through VM user manager. However, user must provide the additional information that cannot be collected from mod_login. Ideally the shop should be able to get those info without out-of-line method (such as email or forms). Can this be done with hot-ecommerce?

I understand what you need but Joomla's user system doesn't have additional fields (such as address etc.), so that's what user enters when he buys something from VM section.

So, regular user have only email, username and password. Buyer have all additional data (address, payment method, etc).
