Image Error

I have gone through nearly all of the threads on this topic but cannot figure out what I have done incorrectly. I have a black box and a blue ? error in it instead of images showing up.

The site is but it is not currently published. What do you need from me in order to take a look at it and suggest a correction?

Your site is offline mode , we need some account we can use to see site. Send us that privately using "Report To Moderator"

It looks like path is incorrect, for example when I browse directly first one:

I get 404 not found.

I updated the module to point to images/stories but they are still not showing up

Maybe chmod (permissions) are such so images can’t be read? Check that folder 0755, files 0644

I have confirmed the CHMOD settings were set correctly. What else might be causing this?
