I already have joomla installed on my godaddy domain and I'm trying to upload the hotstart zip via filezilla. The problem is I dont know exactly where to put it. Can someone please advise me on where I should be uploading the unzipped file exactly? Thanks

You should upload it into the public HTML folder of your hosting space. I am not sure how it's named on GoDaddy. The folder's name is usually public_html, htmldocs, etc. You should ask their support about it.

Upload any file, in example image. If you are in the right folder, you should be able to see the image it when you go to www.yoursite.com/imagename.jpg

I called Godaddy, the root folder is the only public folder. I type the directory with the file name in my browser after I moved the unzipped file in my root directory of the hosting account. When I put type "mydomainname/architecture_hot/index.php into my browser it then jumps straight to http://mydomainname/architecture_hot/installation/index.php

So I guess if I didn't already have joomla installed this would take me to an installation process after step 3 here

demo.hotjoomlatemplates.com/architecture...cle&id=24&Itemid=149

I'm not sure how to get around this. Am I suppose to uninstall joomla on my site first?

I've uninstalled joomla through godaddy. The unzipped architecture folder is now in my root folder on the hosting site and now I'm getting the following error when I type the appropriate directory into my browser. Is this a hosting side issue?

Database Error: Unable to connect to the Database: Could not connect to MySQL.

I spoke to someone from Godaddy and he walked me through the process of moving the files from the unzipped architecture folder to my root directory. The problem that he saw is that the hot_architecture_hotstart doesn't have a configuration file. Am I missing something? Or is there a way to get around this issue.
