When you embed K2 too deeply into the fast start software/data, it becomes almost impossible to take it out. For most of our clients, we don't want or need K2. If we try to remove it, it ruins the front page and the admin administration page, plus, in the Explorer template, disabling K2 messes up the jquery call.

That means we have to leave a bunch of unnecessary K2 code and component/modules and get error messages with developer tools or we have to go beyond simply replacing K2 elements with Joomla elements into actually rewriting code (which we don't have time for).

If you must include K2 in the Joomla templates, at least consider making it easy to uninstall so we can just use Joomla plus what we want to add.

It is try you need some time to clear it , but at end it is doable. You need first to disable and remove everything what uses it then remove it using extension manager.

Easier said than done. When you buy a PC or phone and they have added software that is difficult or impossible to remove it is called bloatware. Unlike your added extensions (carousel, slide show...), which are easily removed with a few clicks if not needed, K2 is bloatware because of the way you have embedded it into the template. If I disable or remove its component or other pieces, the whole site, including admin, becomes unstructured in both content and functionality. I have spent hours trying to recreate a site by going back to Joomla functionality but given up due to the complexity and created issues like jQuery call problems.

If this is so easy to remove, please give me a list of the steps required to make a site look like the demo, but without K2.

I have been a Pro customer for several years, but am serious considering looking for a new template provider that does not make K2 a forced, integral part of their templates as you recently have. Our job is to develop websites for clients, not "fix" templates that we buy.
