Heading and Article Text Size problem

HI, I am trying to reduce the size of the header and article text size, but no matter what size px used in the css, the text just stays the same size. I dont know if it matters, but the module is in an article so may be using the articles css rather than the modules. If this is correct, can the css for hot newsflash just be copied into the css for the site template?
