What you mean by "weird things"? Can't tell you much without seeing the site live. As you can see on our demo, it works fine in IE8.

Try to remove subline for submenu items. So, remove all || from the submenu items.

It was the scroll down menu animation effect. Doesn't play well with IE 8.

edit: scratch that... still not working correctly.

Removing sublines from submenus didn't solve the problem. Any ideas?

I've also tried disabling every non essential component, plugin, and module.

Still haven't been able to resolve this. Will you look into this?
