No columns in inset position

Hi
I'd like to show all the articles from the same category in one page (1 main article + 4 articles in two columns) but it doesn't work. I thought it might be a template problem becouse i set the same comands in other sites with different templates and it works fine. Here I see all the artilces in a long one column list. Can anyone help me?

What is menu type of menu item for that page?

The menu type is "Category Blog".
Category options and blog options are set as "use Global", but the global options I set don't show in any page.
Even if I change the options in a single page where the menu type is category blog, nothing happens.
