hot joomla Gallery module

I was able to download the hot joomla gallery and hot joomnla carousel but I can't get my images to show using either gallery or carousel. I can get the title to show so I know that works. I have tried to use a different folder where images are stored. In the stories/food directories. I know there are images there to show. I don't undrestand why the images will not show.

Any answers possible.

I deleted the modules and removed them from module manager now when I reinstall them they don't show.

- if you don't see them in module manager you can create new instances with "New"
