Still the same with xEtplorer maybe that is related to photo gallery problem. Try instructions from last post on this forum to make xEtplorer operational:

The xEtplorer now works but it does not show joomla files and folders at all. With ftp i can do much than with xEtplorer so better send cpanel access

try to set 755 for files also in plugins/content/photogallery/
