Hello! I'm using the restaurant template for 1.7. I'm having a hard time learning how to disable the "Chef" module on my article pages. My site is still in development, and I'm not finished editing all the content yet; but I seriously need to figure this out.
For instance, the article listed here: pizza.redtapeconsultants.com/index.php/c...nu-items/29-specials
Has the "Chef" module disabled. I have clicked the "Specials" article link after clicking the "Catering" link. So I understand that since the "Chef" module is disabled on the Catering menu, that all sub-menu items under catering will have the same default. What I don't know how to do is to disable the "Chef" module for sub-menu items of "Home." I do want it to be displayed on the home/index page, but ONLY there! Not on any sub-menu items under "Home." How can I accomplish this? The setup screen for modules is different in 1.7 than in 1.5, so the help doc listed here doesn't apply. How can I solve this?

"Chef" module is module showing image of chef and his apprentice?
If so go yo module manager and find module with title "Palios Pizza" , then in module settings use Menu Assignment to select on which pages will module appear.

Yes, I have done that. I have only selected "Home" under "Main Menu" and "Home Page" under "Top Menu." However, it still appears on the article page layout whenever you click on any article's link from the home page. (Try clicking on an article's link from the homepage, and then click the same article's link from a different sub-menu page. You will see there is a difference in the layout.)
For example:
from here:
pizza.redtapeconsultants.com/
click on "Specials" from far right side of page, under menu heading "Latest News."
The article layout will have the Chef module appearing.
NOw go back to home/index, and click on "Menu || More Than Just Pizza" from top menu. Then click again on "Specials" from "Latest News." On this page of the article, the Chef's module does not appear (That is what I want on ALL article layout pages, no matter what menu/sub-menu heading they appear under).

        Hi,
it looks to me like you manually created that link, and links (UL) to the right . Create right menu as true menu module, then you can control page layout by selecting menu item type. After that for "Specials" in left custom HTML module use link you will get when clicking on right side menu.
