Syntax Error index.php Line 1

After migrating to a new host, and fixing up a bunch of database issues I suddenly get this error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/nini4758/public_html/templates/hot_furniturestore/index.php on line 1

The template works fine on my local machine, this file has not been edited or even opened, so I'm a bit stumped. Any assistance gratefully accepted...

I can get at the Admin section of the site, but not the main site :

I have fixed this - for some reason the file had got corrupted and I replaced the index.php file from the original download package onto the server.
