This is the matter: I have an installation of Joomla (J1.5) on a folder (
www.studcariri.it/cms
) and a redirect to THAT installation. Then I have this new installation of Joomla in the folder I sent you but actually there's no redirect, no components, nothing, I only installed J2.5 with Hotstart...

ok, so your're telling me that I have to install J2.5 with Hotstart on the main folder of the domain?

No i'am asking you to describe situation better.
You want to swap to j2.5 ? You can install hot start in some sub folder then copy it to it's final destination when site ready.

Ok, you can put your site files any-ware and copy them after any-ware. You need to edit configuration.php after copying
