editting outside wrapper

editting outside wrapper was created by trey-braid

my template width is set to 980px... if i want to lessen the outside wrapper do i just edit the index.php and adjust this scripting:

line: $templateWidthOutside = $templateWidth + 60;

if i want to knock it down to say 20... is this all i would have to edit or do i need to edit elsewhere...
