Can I revove highlight editing

Hello,
Recently I noticed that there where frontend editing added

Added front-end hover icon to modules to edit module in backend (with tooltip showing module position)
Sorce joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/tracker...em_id=31864&start=25

How can I remove or disable this due to it being extremely buggy with DesignNow.

Also and I may need to start a new thread when someone is signed in the sign in button is still saying sign in not log out or something of that nature.

Go to Global Configuration -> Permissions -> Select a group -> Edit: Denied

But wont that remove editing all together. I have included a picture of what I am talking about it is highlighted inside a red box.

Well forbidding it to all users except superusers is way to do it
