URL's to files changing when article edited was created by nosinned
I've been fighting this issue for a while. I thought i might of posted a topic on here already but wasn't able to find it under my old user name DCoomer.
I'm having a problem where when a user logs in to the front end of the site and edits an article once saved all the url of links on the page that point to files on the server get changed. I have pdf's located in a files folder and when a change is made on the article the urls change to have the menu alias of the parent menu item that the article falls under. Example: Menu item Parent = Training, Link to article = Courses. Link to document on Courses article page =/files/training/document.pdf . When you make a change in the article from the front end after saving the URL of the document link changes to /training/files/training/document.pdf . If you make multiple changes and saves it continues to add to the url /training/training/training/files/training/document.pdf
The article itself is not categorized and it doesn't seem to make a difference if it is or isn't. I've done testing on other articles and cant seem to replicate the problem.
Any suggestions?

Try changing joomla editor, like to install JCE editor. Maybe your current one is set to do such code optimization.
