INSTALLATION PROBLEMS, permissions

HI,
I am trying to install hotstart, I have followed all the instructions as expected including changing all permissions on the folders and server but I keep having the following problem all the time..........I am stuck and don't know what to do , can somebody help, I am on go daddy hosting.

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /welcome/installation/index.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

is the "welcome" folder, folder you created in public_html folder?

Hi,
Thanks for your help but installation does not continue after the first screen.
When I choose the joomla installation language and click next, nothing happens.
I have done everything possible, please help as I am a bit disappointed.

Well not sure what to do because it's not in our power, that step is still basic joomla, I remember there were issues with go daddy before search our forum by that term, also there are certainly lots of people that installed joomla on go daddy google for some instructions, or just ask their support staff for help.

Thanks for your prompt help.
I have abondoned the hotstart installation, I am now using the regular installation on joomla 1.7. Could please help me on how to show the top menu and main menu. Also how to include the top logo. Thanks

Top menu should be in "user3" postion, Menu Tag ID = nav. Main menu just put in "left" position.

For logo add custom HTML, edit content as you like and put module in position "logo".
