Menu, just showing basic List

Hey there, I purchased this template and am really impressed with it and all it can do...

I'm a relatively new Joomla user; however I have been programming for 10 years.

I can't seem to get the main menu (which I've placed in "user3") to show as a proper menu, it just shows as a list of links.

Can you please help?
