Turning off home page slider for featured article?

I started with the hotstart for this template on my site.
I am new to joomla, and need your help in fixing the following issue:

When I click on a link on the featured article on home page of hot academy template(e.g. Students Bus), the article also get displayed with the image slider.

Is there a way to turn off the slider module for intro text of articles in the home category presented at home page?

You need to configure module assignment so it does not display it on single article page. Problem is that you would need to have menu item for each article so you could set it because joomla will take settings from default page. You could create dummy menu you would not display but that would be extreme measure. Instead try this create menu item for category that item belongs to and set module not to display for that menu item
