Hi,
Whilst working on styling changes using custom css I have noted sporadically the main menu styling is completely lost when saving the custom css even when the changes being made are nothing to do with the main menu.

Hope you can throw some light on why as it's inconvenient to have to keep setting all menu parameters again.

Thanking you in advance.

Hello,

Make sure you’re not working on PHP 8 because our framework is not yet 100% compatible.

The menu settings will be reset if you change menu type in the template settings. Also, maybe you will need to update some CSS classes if you changed the menu name in Joomla.

Regards,
Milos

Hi Milos,

Thanks for getting back so quickly.

The site is running on PHP 7.4.

I have changed the template name so please can you advise which CSS classes need updating or remind me of the original template name so I can set it back?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

You can change the template name in the template settings without changing any classes. If you changes the template folder name, change it back to “sparky_framework” to avoid problems.

Hi Milos,

I had only changed the template name in the template settings, the folder name remained as sparky_framework.

For the time being I have changed it back in the settings.

Hello,

You can change the template name in the template settings as you wish. The menu settings will be reset if you change "Unique Name" for a menu in the Joomla menus manager. Also, it will be reset if you change the menu type in the template options.

This image shows the original menu settings for the Bakery template:
