I have the same issue but only in Safari. Firefox works fine.
The issue is also showing on the template demo on the hotjoomla website.

I hope there is a solution as I'm just steps away to go online with a new customer's site…

Disable jquery in hot full carousel settings

In Firefox that would have been the solution.
Unfortunately in Safari that doesn't work. I have the issue under the following system:
Mac OS X 10.6.8 in Safari 5.1.10

But it does exactly look like when I enable JQuery and test it in Firefox…

I still have this issue. When I ook at the Template demo on hotjoomlatemplates.com it's even worse with Safari. I have attached a Screenshot!
