explorer theme module positons color

i am using hot explorer theme

i wanna change topmenurow position background color

how can i change

In template options in menu configuration section, for your menu you have options to define background color for first level items.

I see the sparky edit template section, but it will not allow me to make the Horizontal Pane Color transparent. I have to choose a color.
There is a bit of Horizontal Pane Color showing to the right of the top menu buttons Instead of making it transparent, I could also set the Horizontal Pane Color section to be the same width as the top menu.
Which is easier to do?
Make the Horizontal Pane Color transparent, or
make the Horizontal Pane Color section the same width as all the buttons of the top menu (so the buttons do not let any of the Horizontal Pane Color show.
