single page navigation

I am trying to utilize a 'single page' reference as shown in the demo demo.hotjoomlatemplates.com/index.php?template=one_page and here on my test site www.chicagomarineheritage.org/ppie/index.php the horizontal navigation items do not seem to work on my test site nor on the demo site from the single page.

Also, where would I insert a favicon for the site?

Making Normal Single Pages

You can use this template to make normal single-article pages. Do this as you usually do with any other Joomla template. You need to make an article page and to create a menu item (type: single article) that's assigned to the article. The result can be seen in this sample single page.

If I navigate to this sample page, the menu items do not seem to navigate back?

It you want menu item to point to age outside home page you need to set menu item class " external"
