Articles with paging

Hi everybody,

I recently bought Hot politics theme and when I tried to add articles with pagination it destroys everything else in the page. Everything is displayed more than once in the same page. What can be done for this problem?
Also can I update the joomla version with the latest one? or it will just destroy everything else?
