Joomla 1.7 to 2.5 conflicts was created by dmuller
Hi, I have a site that has recently been upgraded from Joomla 1.7 to 2.5, that went through without issues but I now would like to use the Cookie Monster plug-in.
Cookie Monster doesn't work at all, which I think is as a result of a jQuery script in the head tag of the old template.
I'm wondering if there is a way to update the template from the one I downloaded all those months ago to 2.5 and if that will fix the conflict/ issue?
I only have the old hot_cars unzip file, there wasn't a 2.5 version in that file.

this is best way to do it.
Upgrade using normal upgrade process
Overwrite files in template folder using files for fresh downloaded 2.5 template from our site

EDIT- Just found out how to download it, so a straight like for like template replace (ie. drag and drop all files?)

Ah, just did the update and Cookie Monster still doesn't work, I think it hates jQuery stuff being called first so I'll talk to the developer.
Thanks for your help (flipping EU Cookie Law is the new bane of my life).

No need, I spoke to the developer and the line of code in index.php that calls the jQuery script just needed deleting.
Do that and the cookies thing works just fine. This can be marked as 'case closed'.
Thank you Ivan.
