Add a calendar

Hello,
Can you suggest a calendar to use w/the restaurant template? I'd like to include it like a newsflash or next to the Poll or in place of the Poll.
I want to be able to post daily events on the calendar and also to include upcoming events etc.

We are not expert on joomla calendars, jEvents is widely used , that's all I know.
