background:url(../images/imagename.png) no-repeat;

for this example to work your image needs to be in template images folder

I added the following line

background:/images/Parkett_blau_30.png
}
but nothing has changed, background is in images folder of hotsportal template

Type that line like this:

background:url(../images/Parkett_blau_30.png);

and place your image in:

templates/hot_sportal/images\

I did it but instead of the blue wooden parkett it just shows a white background, what is the reason for that?
