Error when trying to update Joomla 4 template hotstart install

1. Other sites were 4.0.1 upgraded 40 4.0.2 then 4.0.3 - no issues
2. Had already done this - still same issue. Also can't reset or view the Post Installation mesages - strange

I will keep looking Joomla responses are they think a quickstart package issue but with three updates in a short time, I really am not to sure about J4 as yet.

In the past (I am old) it was always said to avoid V4 of anything - eg Dbase 4 killed the company it was that bad Hope not the case with J.

BTW I used J4 Host and really liked the layout. I have always used Joomspirit templates but support for them is now non-existent. Happy to give you guys a go!!!!

Hi Paul,

I tested and confirmed that the upgrade to Joomla 4.0.3, as well as post-installation messages, are not working on the MariaDB-based servers. These features work normally on MySQL servers. You can download the upgrade package from here downloads.joomla.org/cms/joomla4/4-0-3 "Joomla! 4.0.2 to 4.0.3 Patch Package (.zip)", unzip it on the local computer, and upload by FTP. Your Joomla will be upgraded to Joomla 4.0.3.

We will upgrade all our Quickstart installations to v4.0.3. I hope that upgrade to the next Joomla version won't make problems.

Just found the issue... We have to include the update and post-install messages DB tables in the Quickstart installation to fix problems on some MySQL servers. The new Quickstart archive for the Host template is uploaded so, if you can, please re-download and re-install the entire Quickstart package.

ARG! Just finished the site Literally minutes ago.

Not a problem, I was really sing it to improve my knowledge of J4 and to see your templates in action.
