I downloaded and loaded the Flashes template last January 2012. I do not have time to redo that now with all the customization. I used to use a simple embed with {youtube} etc. nesting the html. The template is the 2.5. Is there a recommended plugin and configuration? Can I alter the parameter file or another to gain the ability to embed youtube objects, iframes, etc.? I believe you did that before with another template to activate access to certain html code. Thank you.

The simple overwrite should do the job (only template files and folders)

Simple overwrite? I am supposed to take the entire template and overwrite it? With what template? And dont i need to preserve my css files first since they are altered? This wont affect all the settings and modules? I cannot afford to have the site down for days because it doesnt work. Is there an easy way to enable the use of videos with a patch?

If you had customizations. Create joomla copy on same hosting where is original . Just copy folder leave DB settings same. Then overwrite all files in copy version you did not change and send us link. We will post you missing things then you can just revert original to that copy.
