All products disappeared - category sort order

Hi

I have a virtuemart installation in a Joomla site. My VirtueMart installation is VirtueMart 3.0.6. Joomla version is 3.4.0.
I had everything working and then the client wanted me to change the Category ordering so that it display alphabetically.
As soon as I changed the ordering, all products disappeared from the front end - even creating a new product doesn't show up.
I searched the web for solutions (shopper's groups, multi-language, etc.) but nothing I do/check seems broken.

Please help advise, I am new to Virtuemart and this is for a client - so I don't even know where to look and they are obviously freaking out because they have no products in their store.

Nope. Switching it back and forth does nothing.
I also tried cloning a product and creating a new one, and still nothing shows on the front end.

I can only see you have product set to show on home page in featured products. Do you have products marked as featured. Check that module configuration if it is set to filter on some category you no longer use

Nope, didn't change anything else - they were all showing, and all I changed was the category sort order and BAM all gone. See attached screenshot for module settings.

In product per row you have 2=4 instead of just number , maybe only that is problem.
